Richie had to work on Tuesday so I was home with Brady and the fire department got an email that said we were predicted to get tornados like the ones in AL. They called in off duty firefighters and everything. So, he didn't want me to be at home with Brady alone and since the predicted tornados were heading straight for Springdale he didn't want me to stay here. His parents have a basement so we headed to Harrison! I just knew the moment we left - we wouldn't get a sprinkle...But, had we stayed - our house would have been rubble! We got to Harrison and Brady really enjoyed seeing new things! This little bench was in the landscaping in the front yard and it was just Brady's size! Could he be any cuter on this bench?? Maybe we need one at our house! He was loving it!
Then, he spotted the cat - Fred...He was in awe of it! He has never seen a cat before - just dogs and he couldn't take his eye off of Fred! We were sitting on the front porch watching the cars go by and here comes Fred - Brady was in heaven! Fred would come up and tickle his foot and he just laughed! He thought that it was SUPER funny! Brady had so much fun playing with tupperware and all kinds of random things! He was a good boy and slept with me (just in case we needed to hit the basement really fast) - and he was just perfect! Of course, Harrison only got thunder...I was up all night worried about Richie b/c he was working and I prayed nothing happened and he would be safe along with all my other friends and family that were in the line of the storms! Sadly, Richie texted me about 1AM and a tornado had hit at Denning, AR (around Altus) and he along with other SOT members were on their way down there for search & rescue. SCARY! He said that it was not a pretty sight. All these storms are so scary and hopefully that was the last of them. This has been the worst tornado season we've had in decades. Joplin will never be the same after the EF5 ripped it apart and several have hit OK as well. We are very blessed...My heart goes out to all those people who have lost their loved ones....
