Predicted tornados - Harrison here we come!

Richie had to work on Tuesday so I was home with Brady and the fire department got an email that said we were predicted to get tornados like the ones in AL.  They called in off duty firefighters and everything.  So, he didn't want me to be at home with Brady alone and since the predicted tornados were heading straight for Springdale he didn't want me to stay here.  His parents have a basement so we headed to Harrison!  I just knew the moment we left - we wouldn't get a sprinkle...But, had we stayed - our house would have been rubble!  We got to Harrison and Brady really enjoyed seeing new things!  This little bench was in the landscaping in the front yard and it was just Brady's size!  Could he be any cuter on this bench??  Maybe we need one at our house!  He was loving it!

Then, he spotted the cat - Fred...He was in awe of it!  He has never seen a cat before - just dogs and he couldn't take his eye off of Fred!  We were sitting on the front porch watching the cars go by and here comes Fred - Brady was in heaven!  Fred would come up and tickle his foot and he just laughed!  He thought that it was SUPER funny!  Brady had so much fun playing with tupperware and all kinds of random things!  He was a good boy and slept with me (just in case we needed to hit the basement really fast) - and he was just perfect!  Of course, Harrison only got thunder...I was up all night worried about Richie b/c he was working and I prayed nothing happened and he would be safe along with all my other friends and family that were in the line of the storms!  Sadly, Richie texted me about 1AM and a tornado had hit at Denning, AR (around Altus) and he along with other SOT members were on their way down there for search & rescue.  SCARY!  He said that it was not a pretty sight.  All these storms are so scary and hopefully that was the last of them.  This has been the worst tornado season we've had in decades.  Joplin will never be the same after the EF5 ripped it apart and several have hit OK as well.  We are very blessed...My heart goes out to all those people who have lost their loved ones....

Brady in the walker...

Well, you really can't tell how great he is in this thing - but he has MASTERED this walker!  He will turn around and get through small spaces and go underneath our legs like a bridge...This video only shows how fast he can be - but if this is any indication...He might be a race car driver!!!  HAHA!  I hope you enjoy!

SHOCK of the week...

Okay...For those of you who know already sorry...But, I'm going to have to explain the whole story...So, we had a 12 week nuchal screen with Brady (basically a really detailed ultrasound looking for abnormalities) and during that appt he told us Brady looked to be a BOY.  At 12 weeks nothing is accurate, but he seemed sure - And, sure enough - BOY!  So, we go for a 12 week nuchal screen this pregnancy about a month ago and everything all checked out great again!  YAY!  And, during this appt - Dr. Diacon said "Looks to be a boy to me" and I thought I saw the turtle as well so even though we knew it wasn't going to be 100% accurate - Brady had a little brother!!!  So, I have my 15 week appt this past Monday and Richie didn't go with me b/c it was during Brady's nap time and this wasn't that big of an appt - just blood drawn and heartbeat and we are good!  I was offered an ultrasound (like I was with Brady at 15 weeks) and even though Richie wasn't there he said go ahead and let's just confirm it's a boy...Get on the table and she starts looking and I'm thinking to myself "I don't see anything"...Another minute goes by...So, I say "It's so weird, but I don't see anything" and she giggles and says "You don't see anything bc there is NOTHING THERE!" - WHAT??????  What does she mean that there is nothing there???  She shows me the 3 lines (which you can sort of see in the pics above - taken by my phone so they aren't the best representation)...But, I seriously have a stroke...Poor Richie isn't here and he is going to just die...He has told the WORLD it's a boy...I've told people but I've said "At 12 weeks, it's not that accurate bc they all have a bump down there - it either folds or grows but since he was right with Brady, we are thinking it's a boy" - HOWEVER - we have thought BOY...So, in our heads - Brady has had a best friend and we will be able to reuse all of Brady's stuff and we have this whole plan...You know we are planners!!  The plan has just been FLIPPED upside down!!!  So, it was a HUGE shock...It's starting to wear off now and I've bought a couple of lil girl things so it's sinking in a little more...We have the best of both worlds - We have a BOY and now a GIRL!  A big brother to take care of lil sister!!  People dream of having 1 of each and WE ACTUALLY HAVE IT NOW!  So, we are trying to lock in girl names now!!!  WHOOHOO!!

Also - this is my manager when I told her I was pregnant again!  This was a few weeks ago!  But, it was priceless!  I had my phone underneath the table and whipped it out when I told her the news!  Needless to say - SHE WAS SHOCKED!  Too funny!

Brady is 8 months old!!

Well, I know this post is about 10 days overdue...But, I did take these pics on his actual 8 month birthday.  I just didn't upload them until today!  Between work, all the horrible storms and just the crazy thing they call LIFE - I'm just a tiny bit behind...As usual!  However - these pics were just way too cute to forget to post!  And - We've taken month by month pics and it just wouldn't be right to skip a month!  Brady is just the best lil guy in the world...still...HA!  I couldn't help but post the pic of him laughing in the crib and of course him standing - this is what he does when he wakes up...Pulls himself up and instead of smiles, cries...Wanting someone to come and get him out!  And, of course we rescue him everytime!  With this face - how could we not!?!?!

He's still pulling up on EVERYTHING - walls, couches, tables, toys, ANYTHING - and then he will walk along them...he's taken a couple of steps on his own, but will fall pretty quickly...I'm thinking it will be anytime though, and he will be walking all by himself!  WHOA...We'll be in trouble then!!!  HAHA!  He is still wearing size 3 diapers - except at night...He wears a size 4.  He has been talking for awhile saying "B-things" but now he's moved on to "dadadadada" and "yayayaya"...He has said "MOMM-MMA" only once and although he will say "dada" he doesn't realize what he is saying...Before too long he will be saying a ton of things and we won't get him to be quiet!  HAHA!  My mom said that I was the same way!

Some exciting news - Brady was scouted and then got signed by N.C.K. talent agency for modeling!  He can do print ads and such and we are just super excited!  He had his first "photo shoot" last weekend and I can't wait to post those pics!  We are so proud!

Happy Mother's Day!

Well, it was my first official Mother's Day!  I guess being pregnant and having the best little guy in the world really made me an emotional roller coaster on Mother's Day.  If I cried once, I cried SEVERAL times!  I just feel so blessed to have Brady (he is the most perfectly healthy baby - SUPER sweet - very well mannered - the list could go on for days - and so far this pregnancy has been just as good as the last so we are BLESSED!  We have a healthy baby and a healthy bean!  I'm one lucky lady!  I guess it just hit me funny at how lucky I am and I couldn't stop crying!  Dang hormones!  HEHE!  The above is my handsome husband who spoiled me for Mother's Day this year and my sweet sweet adorable baby boy who also spoiled mommy!  However, he didn't let us sleep in, so that is something he could work on in the future! :)

Richie and his mom!  Never too old to give some hugs and share some love!

The FAM - Tom and Barb were so sweet to come over and watch Brady so Richie and I could have a "date day" - it's been SOOOO long since we've done anything with just the two of us!  So, he took me to Bonefish grill for a fabulous lunch after church and then dropped me off at Solange so I could get a pedicure before we went to the movies to watch "Something Borrowed" - it was FAB!  What a great 1st of many Mother's Day's!  I'm so blessed!

Little Brady getting love from mom and grandma (babs)...He is so lucky too!  Happy Mother's Day to all Mother's out there!

Visit from Grammie!

Mom came up to help watch Brady and they had a big time!  I'm pretty sure that she followed him all around the house!  I'm not sure who tuckered out who!  He loved every minute of it!

Tom's "SURPRISE" party at our house!

We had a "surprise" party for Tom at our house about two Thursday's ago (yes, still behind on posting) and he was SUPER surprised!  He thought that he was coming over to "watch" Brady so me & Richie could do something...Little did he know that Rose, Stephanie, Hudson and Ella were all coming down from Kansas City for his big day and he had NO idea!!!  So, here he is answering the door and he was SO surprised!

Here is Brady with his cousin Ella!  She is a month younger than Brady and weighs 23lbs (I think) - she is BIGGER than Brady!  How could you not LOVE those cheeks though??  Seriously!  She was the sweetest lil thing and we were hoping Brady wouldn't attack her b/c he can get rough sometimes!  They played really good though!

Here is Rose giving Brady a lil gift!  So sweet of her (THANKS Aunt Rose) and then of course more playing happened...

Here is Ella, Hudson and Brady - how cute are these kids?!?

Thanks to Rose and Stephanie for bringing down Hudson and Ella to surprise Tom - it was so much fun and SO great to see you all!  Very sweet of you to take the time out of your busy schedule to come down!

Proud grandparents!  Birthday boy and Babs loving on Brady!  I think he looks pretty happy to me!  HAPPY BIRTHDAY GRAMPIE!

Race for the Cure at Pinnacle Promenade!

Oh yes - look into the far distance!  This was the "non-competitive 5k" - can you imagine what the other categories looked like?  The news reported over 16,000 people were here honoring those who lost the battle to breast cancer or those who are survivors of breast cancer.  I have both in my life and it's really good to go and help raise money for such a great cause while honoring those we love!  I always go with my friend Laura & although it was really windy we had a great time!

Richie was actually working that Saturday and he and all the firefighters at Station 5 had to go and make sure that nothing bad happened and no one got hurt, etc.  So, we got to see daddy!!  It was a lot of fun!!  Thank goodness I kept Brady in his PJs b/c it got a little chilly - a storm was coming in...But, it was a great time and we got to spend a little time with Richie on the day that he works and got a little exercise in as well!

Laura was the smart one in the group as she brought her jacket...It got a tiny bit nippy but we were okay!  Brady decided he was tired of the stroller about a mile in so I got to carry him for awhile...I burned extra calories!  HEHEHE!  It was a great Saturday supporting a great cause!

Easter Sunday!

Well, all the family left and it was just me & Brady on Easter Sunday...Richie had to work...SAD!  So, me and lil man went to Easter Sunday church and came home and hunted eggs in the living room.  It was raining (like it had been raining for like 2 straight weeks) and we had a big time!  You can tell Brady really liked putting the eggs in his basket...Well, he liked taking the eggs out of the basket actually...hehe!  Happy 1st Easter Brady - you are one special boy!

Easter Saturday!

Brady opening his Easter basket!  He LOVED the toys in the basket!  It was really funny!  One of my good friends Ashlea got him this precious sock monkey Easter basket and it is just ADORABLE!  Brady thanks you Aunt Ashlea!!  It was pretty funny b/c I swear, between me & Richie, my mom and Richie's family...It looked like Christmas and not Easter - this boy is SPOILED!

Brady giving out the Easter baskets to everyone - notice there is a picture of you know who in the basket!  I think everyone loved them!

And, because Brady now has 2 bottom teeth...the Easter bunny got him his very own toothbrush!  As you can see, he caught on very quickly and he LOVES brushing those teeth!  You would think he has a mouthful b/c he brushes for a good long while!  It is just too cute!!  Easter Saturday with family was great!  Thanks to everyone for coming up and of course spoiling us all!!

Trying to stand on his own without holding on!!

First and foremost...I haven't uploaded my pics from my camera to my computer in AGES...I'm a loser!  We've been super busy and I just haven't had a free second...So - I'm apologizing for overwhelming you all with pics that have been taken the past 3 weeks...Here he is trying to stand on his own.  He will stand along the couch and walk all down it, but he will grab on with one hand and try and grab a toy or just try and stand there not holding on to anything!  He is trying to grow up too fast!  And, the 2nd picture he has been holding on to the chaise and grabbed a blanket and pulled up so he wasn't holding on to anything and just standing there on his own!!  BIG BOY!!

Guess who is going to be a BIG BROTHER???

This little guy!!!  Brady is going to be a big brother this coming November!  I know, hard to believe!  They will be 13 & 1/2 months apart!  Which is wild but we couldn't be happier!  We want Brady to have a little play buddy and he NEEDS a little buddy too!  He has so much energy so he needs a best buddy to get into things with!  Which means that I'm 12 & 1/2 weeks pregnant now and we have had an ultrasound and this baby looks just as fiesty as Brady if not more in the womb...So, we will for sure have our hands full!  Anywhoooo...Thought everyone would want to know!  And, for those of you who don't know - this is my good friend Laura and she is really going to LOVE me for posting these pics since she hates getting her picture taken...But, Brady LOVES her a lot so I don't think she'll mind too much!  But, it was the only pics I have of him in his "Big Bro" shirt!!
