Paisley's party!

Well, it was a game time decision but we were so happy that we could make it to Paisleys party! Tom & Barb were at our house & wanted Bria to stay and play! So, bc of the timing of the party & naptime/schedule, etc. Brady went to the party & played!

Birthday girl! I sure LOVE that she picked up her whole cake to go to town!!! Priceless!!!

Brady wanted outside to play & the party soon followed him out there!! It was a great time!!

He was one tired lil guy!! Paisleys party was just TOO much fun!! Happy birthday Paisley!! We love you!!

Lots of L.O.V.E!

We had a great Valentine's Day!  We laid low and spent it as a family - together!  Richie and I celebrated with a lil dinner on Saturday night, but we enjoyed having the time on Thursday to play and have fun around the house!

The above is what Bria  made for us - ADORABLE!  And the below is what Brady made for us and he also made several of them for family members!  Too sweet!

We agreed that we weren't doing much for Valentine's Day and we didn't want to spend a lot of money on each other.  So, we got the kids each a book!  They loved them!  I got this t-shirt from Richie which was what I wanted!  And, I got Richie 2 vintage shirts from the flannel shack (in the sacks) but they were too small :( sad...So, he will be getting something else when he returns them...

I do have to say that I have the best husband in the world...As a part of his gift to me, he submitted me in a contest on Live with Kelly and Michael for the "unstoppable mom" - HOW SWEET was that?  He wasn't going to tell me that he did it, but he gave me the letter that he submitted to them for Valentine's Day.  I bawled and bawled...It is so touching and I just have to post it here so I will always have this memory.  Richie said that he doesn't tell me enough how much he appreciates me and since he is a man of few words, the letter said how he felt.  MELT. MY. HEART.

Kelly and Michael,
Let me start out by saying my wife is a huge fan of you both.  Michael, you were my wife's first pick for Regis's replacement by far.  Now to start bragging about my caring, wonderful, loving, beautiful wife.  My wife Wendy is the best mother and wife in the world.  We have been married going on 7 years this June.  We had our first beautiful baby boy, Brady, 2 years four months ago.  We had our sweet baby girl, Bria, 1 year 3 months ago.  My wife was pregnant for 2 straight years during the hottest 2 summers Arkansas has ever had, which she deserves an award just for that.  I am a Fire Fighter and I am gone every 3rd day for 24 hrs.  While I love my job, it sure doesn't pay too much.  My wife works a full time job as a pharmaceutical sales rep. That pays most the bills, as well as, cleaning, caring, and taking care of our family.  She is truly the hardest working mom I know.  She makes it her first priority to be a great mom, wife, and worker.  She has not once put herself first in front of our kids or me.  She really does deserve the recognition for the unbelievable dedication she has.  Our son was diagnosed with autism about 4 months ago.  It really was the hardest time in my life.  My wife was SO strong and really kept our family so uplifted and basically just kept me from going crazy during this hard time.  My son has therapy about 8 times a week, and somehow my wife has kept such an uplifting and positive attitude.  She truly is my hero and role model.  My kids are the luckiest kids in this world to have such a wonderful dedicated mom who would do anything just to make sure that they are raised in a happy loving home.  So please, do me this favor and just recognize my wife Wendy for her tireless dedication to being the most hardworking and wonderful mom I have ever had the pleasure of meeting.  Thank you so much for your time and consideration.

I am just crying just re-reading this...On top of how sweet this letter is, he never expected it to go anywhere bc there are thousands of entries every single time they do a contest.  He actually did get a phone call from a producer of the show and Richie was on CLOUD 9!  He told me that they asked a few questions and told him that they hadn't selected any semi-finalists just yet but that the letter caught some attention from the staff.  As amazing as this letter is, I don't feel like I am deserving of any award.  There are SO many other mothers that do WAY more than I do, but I am so touched that my husband feels this way.  That is by far, the best award I could ever receive!  What a great Valentine's Day!  I am so lucky to have the best husband and kiddos in this entire world!

My little Valentine's!

Happy Valentine's Day!  These kids have worn something red/pink/hearts (you get the picture) pretty much ALL week long!  Here are a few pictures from this week!

Here are the treats that the kids made for the other kids in their class!  I think they turned out so cute!
The teachers sent me a couple of pics of Bria handing them out to her friends!

And, it was harder for Brady to get caught on camera b/c he would hand them and run!  HA!
Then, we had gymnastics and it was a TON of fun this week!  Well, actually...Bria was starving and didn't enjoy it as much as Brady did!
And, for Valentine Day morning - my 3 presents! :)  Love them so much!

What a great Valentine's Day!

Love for my husband...

Happy Valentine's Day to my sweet sweet husband!

In my eyes, he is by far the BEST man I have ever met!  I couldn't have found a more compassionate, easy going, understanding best friend/husband if I would have searched the entire world.  I consider myself the LUCKIEST lady on the planet!!!!  He is by far the best husband, but most importantly the best DAD EVER!  I can't say enough about him, but I'm so happy to spend my Valentine's Day with him and our sweet kiddos!

Just look at how much he is loved by our kiddos - they think he is the most fun and they just LOVE rolling around and getting tickled and getting shuggies...It is the best thing to watch and swoon over!

My heart just melts thinking about all of the good times that we spent before kids, and even more so now with our sweet & precious kids.  My most favorite time of the day is the first part of the morning when everyone wakes up and we are all cuddling together in bed.  It just puts the biggest smile on my face!  Richie, I love you SO much - you still give me those flutters in my tummy like when we first started dating.  I am more in love with you now than ever and you make me the happiest woman alive!  I probably don't tell you enough, but I appreciate EVERYTHING you do for us and you are truly my hero - we couldn't be the happy family we are without you!  Happy Valentine's Day! WE LOVE YOU!

15 month wellness visit!

Bria at her 15 month wellness visit!
Height: 32 & 1/4 inches tall - putting her in the 90th percentile! I knew she had been in a growth spurt!!
Weight: 22.8lbs - putting her back into the 50th percentile!
Dr. Park agreed that since she had been through some sickness she had lost a lil bit, but she is getting back up there!
Head circumference: 18+ - putting her in the 50th percentile!
Last check-up the nurse didn't get an accurate measurement so Dr. Park agreed that this is better!
She has hit all of her 15 month milestones & is right on track! She said everything looked great! However, her gums were swollen & Dr. Park said she was gonna have a hard time with her teeth. Poor girl! ;( All & all - great check-up! Our big girl is just growing up too fast!!

And, this big girl has been insisting that SHE use her utensils! She still makes messes but that is totally normal! She is so cute!!!

This week in pics!

This has been a laid back week - lots of illness in the area and we have pretty much been at school or at home trying to avoid the flu and that norovirus that is going around like crazy.  We even had to miss gymnastics because the teacher was sick!  Not fun!  I'm happy to say that aside from Bria's molars and a little bit of allergies - we have avoided the bad stuff!  YAY!

The above pic just cracks me up because Richie was at work and I was trying to get them both ready for bed and Brady dropped his toothbrush.  Bria swooped in and picked it up and tried brushing his teeth for him!  Hilarious!  She might just be a dentist someday!

Love my lil family!

These kiddos love to SWING!  We've been enjoying this nice weather!  I wish spring would come!

Tom and Barb came over for a lil fun on Saturday!  Richie and I went to lunch and a movie while the kiddos napped.  We ate at Burger Life and watched Argo.  It was really good!  Date #1 for Feb - CHECK!  Then, we went to the park and we all got to enjoy this sunshine!  These kids sure love being outside!  This makes me so happy!

Grandparent fun!  At the park and after!  These kids were WORN out!
Sunday morning Brady decided he was going to do a lil reading!  HA!  He seriously pulled all of the books off both shelves and picked out his favorites.  We haven't read the foot book in a long time and Brady had it out and he started saying "more - more" and he was trying hard to get my attention...I looked over as he said it for the 4th time and on the page he was on it said "more and more"....He just amazes me!

Bria thought that she would use the tupperware as her hat!  HA!

And then she did "row row" with Baba!  It has been a really fun weekend!  I am ready for spring!  Is it ever going to get here!?!?!?  I know Lent is just around the corner and we are putting our thinking caps on to see what are going to give up!
