My sweet husband!

I almost forgot - over the weekend my sweet husband made pumpkin pancakes for me and they were FAB!!  Oh how I love pumpkin flavored things...Pumpkin custard, pumpkin pancakes, pumpkin cream cheese roll...HOWEVER...As odd as it is...I hate pumpkin pie!  But, these pancakes were DE-LISH!

And Brady watched while I ate them!  Not too much longer and he'll be eating them!!  What a little chubbs!  I love it!

He's gonna be a talker!!

So, he may look like Richie - but he's gonna be a talker like his momma!! :o)  He has a lot to say - this is how he is a lot of the time now...When he's not eating or sleeping!!

Razorback game & tree decorating!

For those of you who know me well, know that I decorate for Christmas the day after Thanksgiving.  I have done so the past 10 years and this is just my personal tradition.  This year was a little different because Richie worked on Thanksgiving this year (which is why we celebrated with my mom and his family on Wednesday) and I had planned on decorating on Thanksgiving this year since Richie wouldn't be home.  My mom was supposed to watch Brady, but as you can see in the picture above, we got some freezing rain & sleet and mom left early before the bad weather hit.  It dropped 30-40 degrees in a 12 hour time period and this is what happened about mid-morning through mid-afternoon.  I also had planned on going up to the fire department to see Richie and eat with him, but because of the weather I stayed home and ate some leftovers for lunch and a heat up egg mcmuffin for dinner...Not really the Thanksgiving I had planned on...Needless to say, I just wanted to snuggle with Brady all day and I didn't do one bit of decorating!!  Which was fine, because I had planned on doing it on Friday all along anyways...Friday rolled around and Richie was home and I was NOT motivated to decorate!  I was in some sort of FUNK!  I just wanted to hang out with my 2 very special boys! And that was better than anything - but I was disappointed to not have my trees up!!

So, I decorated while we all watched the Razorback game!  And what a game!  We won the battle of the boot and it was a very exciting game - and even more exciting because I got the house decorated!  I didn't do all of my big trees this year, but it still looks good with the 2 big ones and several small ones!  It's sooo much different with a little one in the house!  HA!  Here are my trees below!

Here is the tree in Brady's room - a very specail gift from Susan Parker!  I worked with her at Clear Channel and when Brady was born she gave us this gift - I don't think she knew just how much I decorated for Christmas and how I have to have a tree in every room!!  This was so perfect and looks so cute in his room - he LOVES it!!  Thanks Susan!!

Here is the big tree in the living room - it is silver, green and blue!  It's one of my older ones, but I update it with a few new ornaments each year - the silver ribbon is new this year!

This is the little tree in the living room - this has only Christopher Radko ornaments on them.  I didn't even know what Christopher Radko was until I started working for BMS.  My manager Tina has the most gorgeous tree (it's huge) full of only Christopher Radkos and she gives us these ornaments for Christmas every year.  So, I now have enough to start my own little tree!  They are funky little ornaments and a great conversation piece!

This is my newest tree!!  I've always wanted a white tree and Richie let me get this after Christmas last year on sale and when I was pulling all my Christmas down from the attic it was like Christmas all over again with it b/c I had forgotten that I had it!!!  It is in the kichen and I think it's my favorite this year!  Decorated with silver, black and red it looks great in the kitchen!! :)

This is my oldest tree!  I had this little 3 ft tree when I was in college (10 years ago) and I took the cookie dough ornaments from dad & Ange that they had been collecting for me year after year and started my own little tree.  It is now mine and Richie's tree and Brady has his 1st ornament on it!  It is on the entryway table and probably the most special!  I love this tree b/c it really has a lot of memories!! :)  I hope you enjoy all of my trees as much as I do!  Maybe I'll decorate my other 2 big trees next year and have all 4 put up, but I bet Brady will be old enough then to start getting in to them, so we'll just have to wait and see!  All in all - a great Saturday with the big HOG win and a decorated house!! :o)

Happy Thanksgiving!

What a great Thanksgiving week!  Good food, good company and LOTS to be thankful for!!  Mom, Barb, Tom and Jackie all came in to our house to celebrate on Wednesday!  The menu you ask??  Steak, corn casserole, sweet potato casserole, grilled mushrooms, spinach/cheese, salad and the dessert of champions - SHAKE's!!  Not a traditional Thanksgiving dinner, but DELISH!! :)

Needless to say, we had leftovers and they too were delicious!  It was so much fun having everyone get together!  But, we of course ate too much!  HAHA!

And 2010 is a year full of things to be thankful for - we have a new addition in the Butler household and he is such a precious angel!  We can't imagine our lives without him and we are very blessed that he is a healthy little boy that is starting to form his own little personality and we wouldn't change one thing!!

Brady meets Santa!!

Here he is getting passed off to Santa!!  He was such a good boy & Santa loved that he was an "Elf in Training" and everyone had to talk about how precious little Brady was!  We decided to take him early bc #1 - We were having such a good day with him (acid reflux at a minimum) and #2 - To beat all the after Thanksgiving grubby lil hands and long lines that Santa tends to bring...All in all - SUCCESS!

Here is a closer look at my lil Elf! :)  Just wait til our Christmas cards come...

A Thanksgiving amongst friends...And Razorback Watch party!

What a great Saturday night!  We had some of our closest friends over for a potluck Thanksgiving dinner and it was AMAZING!!!  Here are the plates & napkins - very festive!!  I had every table decorated but I didn't want to overwhelm everyone with 1,000 pictures...The dining room was fancy, the breakfast nook was fun & flirty and the table that we set up in the living room was more fall harvest!

Here is only 1 table of food - veggie tray & cheese tray as appetizers and cookies and apple pie as desserts - all DE-LISH!!

The Hosts - The Butlers!  Richie (he cooked an amazing sweet potato casserole) - Wendy (I fixed a couple of new recipes - pumpkin dip served with ginger snaps and a pumpkin trifle which seemed to be a hit) and we did the veggie tray...We got so wrapped in baking/cleaning/decorating that we forgot that we had planned on making rolls!!  They are still in our freezer!!  Darn!!  And of course, lil Brady who just hung out and enjoyed the girls fighting over him!!

All the ladies - Kate, Wendy, Kim, Baby Kate, Jami, Carrie, Baby Harper & Serena!

All the men - Buckley, Ryan, Richie, Baby Brady, Kin, Joey & Shawn!

Brady (9 wks), Harper (7 months) & Kate (8 wks) - how precious are these angels?!?!?!  We missed you Maddox, sad you couldn't make it!!  The girls were fighting over Brady!!

Carrie, Shawn & Harper - they brought cookies which we are still eating on (dang it - am I ever going to lose the last of my baby weight??????)...

Serena & Joey - they brought the ham and it was AMAZING!!  I typically don't like ham that much but it was soooo good!!  Happy to eat those leftovers today!!

Kate & Kin - CONGRATS to the newly engaged couple!!!  We can't wait til their big day!!  Super excited!!  They brought the hash-brown casserole (DE-LISH and there were NO leftovers)...They smoked the turkey (AMAZING - once again, I get burnt out on turkey around the holidays and if it were cooked like this I could eat it all the time...FAB JOB!)...And, the green beans which I sadly didn't try...YUM YUM YUM!!!

Ryan & Jami - they brought the cheese tray appetizer and it was soooo yummy!  I had to pace myself b/c I thought I might fill up on cheese!!!  HAHA!!

Buckley, Kim & Baby Kate - they brought the apple pie!  I sadly didn't try this either b/c I was so full!  It really looked sooo good and I thought it was homemade - apparently you can get really awesome pies from SAMs if you don't have the time to bake them.  And, if you ask me...Could pass them off as homemade b/c they look so good!! :)

Here is Harper (we like to call her "the cougar") loving on Brady!  He is going to have his hands full!  And I think he is going to LOVE it! :)  You be the judge below...

Harper & Brady??

Kate & Brady??

I just hope that McKynlee & Sam don't see this - Brady will really have his hands full then and he doesn't want to be in the dog house with all the ladies!!  :)

We are so thankful for all of our friends near and far - we wish we could see everyone more, but we cherish all of our friends and we consider ourselves very lucky!  AND - I almost forgot...GO HOGS!!!! We won 38-31 in overtime!!  WHOOHOO!!

Just hanging out!!

Hmmmm...Looks like nappy nap time to me!!

Bubby got a little jealous and wanted some cuddle time too...

And Bailey also tried to get in the action too...There was just no more room in the recliner!

Date Day - WICKED awesome time!

Babs & Grampie came over to watch Brady so Mommy & Daddy could have their very first date day!!!  We got tickets to Wicked in Tulsa!  I've always wanted to see Wicked, and both trips to NYC it was sold out!!  Brady slept a lot, but when he was awake he was energized and kicking and cooing for Babs & Grampie and they said that he was a very good boy (did anyone even question that??)...

This is the first "real" time that I've really gotten out of my sweats & crap clothes...Aside from going to church and and occasional dinner out here which is just jeans and a top...All dressed up - Tulsa here we come!!!

Wicked was WICKED AWESOME!!  We had front row balcony seats and I was in heaven!  Richie was super sweet to let this be our very first date day since I'm sure this really isn't in his top 20 things to do...But, I told him since he was such a good sport that next date day would be his choice!!!  I have a feeling we will be spending the whole time at Hooters or Buffalo Wild Wings but that is fine by me - we will have fun anywhere!!!!  I would say that we all did great considering it was the first day I was away from Brady for 9 hours and it was a full day for Babs and Grampie - fun was had by all!! :o)

We are talking now!!

This little man is consistently smiling, cooing and making great eye contact!  Richie took a little video with his phone and it's not the best one, but it will work for now just so you can see what he is currently doing!  Pretty dang cute I think!

2 month shots - OUCH!

Well, a great doc appt...Until the shots!  Brady LOVES Dr. Davis!  Brady was a great little boy - Dr. Davis said that everything looks great!  He weighed 10 lbs ~ 12 ounces!  What a big boy!  And he has grown 3 inches since birth!  I'd say that mommy's milk is giving him plenty of nutrients!  He got a great check up and then the nurses came in to give him his 2 month old shots - he was brave and only cried for about 30 seconds (he did better than me, I shed a few tears too)...I couldn't scoop him up off the table fast enough to hold him close and snuggle and comfort him.  He won't have to come back to the doctor until January!  YAY!  And hopefully his reflux will be better by then!

I think that his appointment was stressful for daddy too...When we got home Brady ate and then crashed and burned - with dad...You can tell these pics were taken with my dinky digital and not my new camera (which I'm in love with)...

I know that the postings are a little overwhelming, but this is the first chance I've had to upload and post in the past week - as you can see we've been VERY busy!  This week is going to be busy too and I can't wait to post pictures of this upcoming weekend!

Brady is 2 months old!!!

Ok - I only took like 2 million pics trying to get a good one - it's hard b/c he is a little wiggle worm!  However, I LOVE this picture b/c it really shows off his double chin!  If I would have zoomed in you could see his 3rd chin there too!  HA!  Just kidding, but he is a growing boy!

Brady is now 2 months old!  YAY!  What a handsome man!

Our Sunday outing!!!

After church on Sunday we decided to take a trip up to Rogers and do a little shopping!  We went to Academy Sports and spent awhile in there - little Brady got hungry and then pooped his pants.  We were those rednecks in the parking lot feeding and then changing - needless to say it was easier to change him in the trunk than in the backseat...HAHA!

He was so good we bought him a couple of books - my personal favorite...My Mommy and I! :)  I read it right after we got home!  He LOVED it!

And, because I bought My Mommy and I, I thought it was only right to buy My Daddy and I too...You can see by the look on his face he isn't as impressed with this one!  HAHA!  Just kidding dad!  It was a great day and he was such a good boy!!

A visit from Aunti Heather!

Aunti Heather came by with some Chic-fil-a chicken minis for me and an extra special hug for little Brady!  We were all in our jammi's so it was a nice laid back Saturday morning!  It was really great catching up with Aunti Heather and we just laid around all day after that!

One day this week...

I just LOVE my new camera so I decided that I just needed to take a few pictures!!  Here is lil man just chillin in his bouncy seat - getting ready to play with Bubby for a little bit!

Bubby is ready to play!!

And...Brady is TUCKERED out!  HAHA!  Aunt Inda came over this evening to get her Brady fix for the week and we were way to busy chatting to remember to take a pic!!  Dang it!  Little Brady had so much fun seeing his Aunt Inda though and can't wait for her to come back again!

Dinner at Ryan's!

Here is Brady and "Uncle Meko" - Little Meeks was sooo happy to see Brady!  How precious is this!?!?

And Ryan is super happy to see Brady!  He and Jami cooked chicken tacos & Richie made guacamole and it was DE-LISH!  It was really great catching up with them and fun was had by all!  Thanks for a great Tuesday night!

The start of a very busy week!

Lil Brady has now started smiling, laughing and cooing...It is PRECIOUS!!

This is on Sunday - before we had Chase and Kristin over to celebrate their engagement.  We were too busy celebrating and I forgot to get my darn camera out!  HOWEVER - we had a great steak dinner (Thanks to Chef Richie) and Brady initiated Kristin right in by welcoming her with a little spit up on her nice sweater! :(  She didn't seem to mind too much though, I'm pretty sure he stole her heart with his smile - Chase better watch out!  Chase asked Richie to be a groomsman and the wedding is May 14th!  Congrats again to the happy couple!

Dinner after Baptism!

Dinner at Hog Haus after Brady's Baptism.  Here is my side of the family...

Here is Richie's side of the family...

Me & Richie - proud parents!

The special boy of the day...BRADY!  Thanks so much to all of those who came - and thanks to Tom & Barb for dinner at Hog Haus celebrating the occasion!  It was wonderful and delicious!
